I ordered the Rex Strong Cat Trouser in 4–5Y for my son, who had just turned four. The trousers are extremely short and sit around mid-shin on him. I understand that the Rex is described as a more cropped style, but there is a big difference between a cropped fit and trousers sitting mid-shin on a child who has only just turned four.
I contacted customer service at the beginning/before middle of September, provided measurements and raised my concern that there could be a sizing or labelling issue. I also have other Claude & Co trousers in 4–5Y which are still oversized on my son, while the matching top from this order is considerably oversized compared with the Rex trousers.
After several emails, I was asked to return the trousers for a replacement as faulty/damage. I did so, and after waiting for the replacement another week, I received another pair with exactly the same measurements.
It is now the beginning of October and I am still no further forward with an item that my child cannot properly wear. I have now been offered a refund if I return the trousers again, but after already going through the return and replacement process, I simply cannot justify spending more time and making another trip to return the same item again.
Unfortunately, this is also not the first time I have experienced inconsistent sizing from Claude & Co. I previously had a Milking It set where the top/sweatshirt was very oversized while the leggings in the same size were too small. At the time I put it down to the individual design, but having experienced a similar issue again, it has made me question the consistency of the sizing across the brand.
I was actually considering placing another order for the Roda Grey Marl Jogger, but after this experience I no longer feel confident about which size to choose.
Very disappointing experience overall. I really wanted to continue buying from the brand, but I expected a much more practical resolution after raising a genuine sizing concern.
